Current NASCAR K&N Pro Series East points leader Ben Rhodes is scheduled to make his ARCA Racing Series debut Sunday in the Herr's Live Life With Flavor 200 at Madison International Speedway. He will drive the No. 55 Toyota for Venturini Motosports.
The 17-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky has been named to the NASCAR Next program for 2014-2015 and drives the No. 41 Chevrolet for Turner Scott Motorsports in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East where he has a 65 point lead after 14 of 16 races. That series has an off weekend.
“I want to thank Alpha Energy Solutions, Alliance Comfort Systems, and Venturini Motorsports for the opportunity to make my first ARCA start at Madison this weekend,” Rhodes said. “I have followed the series this year and there has been some great racing action just about everywhere they go.”
Mark McFarland, who is Rhodes' crew chief in the East Series, will stay in that role on Sunday over at Venturini Motorsports. Rhodes has five wins this season including a stretch of four in a row at Iowa Speedway, Bowman Gray Stadium, Five Flags Speedway and Langley Speedway. He has top fives in 10 of the 14 races.
Rhodes has also made two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts this season for Turner Scott Motorsports and is scheduled to make his third start tomorrow night in the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. That race can be seem Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
The race at Madison International Speedway can be seen Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
