Kyle Busch Takes Pole for Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Sets New Track Record

Kyle Busch took the pole for Sunday's Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. It's Busch's 15th career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole and the second of the 2014 season. Busch took the pole at a speed of 131.830 mph, setting a new track record at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson will start alongside Busch on the front row.

Starting in the third position is Denny Hamlin with Tony Stewart starting in the fourth position. Starting in the fifth spot is Jamie McMurray with Joey Logano rolling off from the sixth position. Brad Keselowski will start from the seventh position with Clint Bowyer rolling off eighth. Starting in the ninth position is Martin Truex Jr with Kasey Kahne rounding out the top ten. Jeff Gordon will start 11th and Kevin Harvick will start 12th. 

Those 12 drivers advanced to the final round of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series qualifying session on Friday. The rest of the field did not make it to the final session and had to rely on where they qualified in the first session. 

The rest of the top 20 include Kyle Larson and Carl Edwards in 13th and 14th. Matt Kenseth starts 15th with Paul Menard rolling off from the 16th spot. Brian Vickers will start 17th with Kurt Busch, Aric Almirola and AJ Allmendinger rounding out the top 20.

Other notables in the field include Austin Dillon in 23rd, Ryan Newman in 24th and Greg Biffle in 27th. Dale Earnhardt Jr will start from the 28th position with Danica Patrick 29th. Veteran Jeff Burton will start 30th driving the #66 car this weekend. It's Burton's second start of the season. Starting in the 40th position is Eddie MacDonald, who will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut this weekend, driving the #32 Ford for Go FAS Racing. Starting in the 43rd and final position is 72-year-old Morgan Shepherd who will break his own record of becoming the oldest driver to ever start in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event. 

There were 43 entries for the Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, meaning all 43 cars that took a time made the field. 

The Camping World RV Sales 301 will start at 1:15 p.m. ET on Sunday and will be broadcasted on TNT.
