On Monday Turner Scott Motorsports announced that 33-year-old Justin Marks will drive the team's No. 31 NASCAR Nationwide Series car at Road America on June 21st and Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on August 16th. Dylan Kwasniewski, the normal driver of the No. 31 Chevrolet, will drive the team's No. 42 car in those two races while Kyle Larson is at other tracks for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition.
SOL REPUBLIC, a headphone brand, will serve as primary sponsor for the races along with Casamigos Tequila.
The No. 31 team currently is 16th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series owner points standings after 12 races. Kwasniewski was in the car for 11 of those races and Chase Pistone was in the car at Iowa Speedway on May 18th when Kwasniewski first filled in for Larson.
Marks has made eight career Nationwide Series starts between 2008 and 2011. Marks made his Sprint Cup Series debut last season for Tommy Baldwin Racing at Sonoma Raceway and finished 30th. He has also made 35 career starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series between 2007 and 2011 and scored four top 10's and two poles.
In 61 career ARCA Racing Series starts Marks had 26 top 10's and won in Palm Beach in 2010. He has also competed in the Grand-Am Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series.
