Another exciting on track event has been added to the Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston presented by the Greater Houston Honda Dealers weekend from June 27-29 at Reliant Park. On Thursday, Radial Texas partnered with the Houston Three Day Festival of Speed to bring fans the chance to get on track in a UK-produced Radical sportscar.
Radical sportscars use an Americian Ford engine and a British chassis to create one of the most unique track cars in the world.
“There’s going to be a lot of action at the Grand Prix of Houston this year and we’re adding to the excitement by giving fans a chance to get on the track and see firsthand the challenges of the Houston circuit,” said Ian Dawson, Partner at Radical Texas in a press release from Love Advertising. “As a Houston-based company, our goal is to offer a very unique experience on the IndyCar street circuit through Radical sportscars, which will soon be street legal in the United States.”
Radical Texas will offer four different VIP corporate packages called "The Xperience at Grand Prix of Houston." Included in the different packages are the opportunities to drive a Radical sportscar on track, passenger rides on the track, VIP hospitality, and grand stand seating. More information and pricing of the packages can be found at www.theXperience.co so check out the details.
“It is with great excitement that we add Texas Radicals to our on-track lineup," said Managing Director of the Houston Grand Prix, Austin Crossley in the press release. "After experiencing Radicals ourselves we know that these cars are truly spectacular, and will be a great compliment to IndyCar and the other great series already in our lineup."
The headline event of the weekend will be the doubleheader Verizon IndyCar Series races with race one on Saturday, June 28 and race two on Sunday, June 29. Also the Mazda MX-5 Cup and Pro Mazda Championship will hold races during the weekend.Tags: Austin Crossley, Houston Grand Prix, Ian Dawson, IndyCar Series, Love Advertising, Motorsports, Pro Mazda Championship, Radical sportscars, Radical Texas, Reliant Park
