FIA Announces Official 2014 Formula 1 Schedule

On Wednesday the FIA released the 2014 Formula 1 schedule after a meeting of its World Motor Sport Council in Paris. The schedule features 19 total races with two new venues on the calendar for 2014.

The season will start in Australia on March 16th and end in Abu Dhabi on November 23rd. The two new races are at Austria on June 22nd and Russia on October 12th. The Korean Grand Prix and Indian Grand Prix will not return from the 2013 schedule. Also the three races that were listed a preliminary on the first outline of the 22 race 2014 schedule, at Korea, New Jersey, and Mexico, all are not on the 2014 calendar.

The United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas is scheduled for November 2nd which is the same day as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. 

Sebastian Vettel will be trying to win his fifth consecutive World Championship in 2014. Here is a complete look at the schedule.
