On Sunday night, Andy Seuss drove to victory lane for the first time in the 2013 season in the Caraway 150 at Caraway Speedway. The win was the 13th of Suess' NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour career and his sixth at Caraway.
He started the 150 lap race around the .455 mile oval from the pole and led the first seven laps before Tim Brown, who started in third, moved to the top spot around Seuss. Brown would lead through lap 33 and then Seuss took the lead on lap 34 and led all the way to the finish.
George Brunnhoelzl III finished in second with John Smith third and Tim Brown fourth. JR Bertuccio finished in fifth, Kyle Ebersole sixth, Danny Bohn seventh, Gary Putnam eighth, Brandon Ward ninth, and Jason Myers tenth. Burt Myers finished in 16th of the 18 cars after retiring on lap 101 due to a mechanical issue.
After nine of 12 Southern Tour races George Brunnhoelzl III leads the points by 20 over Kyle Ebersole. Tim Brown has only raced in eight of the races and is third in points 37 back. Burt Myers is 41 points back in fourth and Andy Seuss is fifth 45 points behind.
