Dylan Kwasniewski won for the fourth time in the last six NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races and fifth time overall in 2013 on Monday at Greenville Pickens Speedway. The 18-year-old also won the pole for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 140 and it is the second straight race he won both the pole and the race.
He led the first two laps but then Daniel Suarez, the eventual runner up, passed him for the lead. Kwasniewski would fall as far back as ninth before rallying back to the front. He took the lead on lap 108 from Jeremy Burns and led the final 33 laps.
Suarez led the most laps in the race with 65. Gray Gaulding finished in third, Eddie MacDonald fourth, and Mackena Bell in fifth. Ben Rhodes was sixth, Jesse Little seventh, Kenzie Ruston eighth, Brett Moffitt ninth, and Ben Kennedy tenth. Sam Hunt was 11th and Matt Tifft was the last lead lap car in 12th. He also led one lap in the race.
Jeremy Burns finished one lap down in 14th after leading 39 total laps. There was only one caution in the race which came out on lap 59 for debris.
After 11 of 15 races Dylan Kwasniewski leads the points by 40 of Brett Moffitt. He is trying to become the first driver to win the K&N Pro Series West championship and then the East championship in back-to-back years. Ben Kennedy is 53 points back in third. Eddie MacDonald and Ryan Gifford round out the top five.
