The Dash 4 Cash event is back for the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season with the four drivers eligible to win at Daytona International Speedway determined by last weekend's Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway. The four highest finishing Nationwide Series regulars in that race earned a chance to win $100,000 in Friday night's Subway Firecracker 250.
Elliott Sadler, Brian Vickers, Austin Dillon, and Kyle Larson are the four drivers eligible this week. The one who finishes the highest at Daytona amongst themselves will win the $100,000 and be eligible in the next Dash 4 Cash race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on July 13th.
“It is great for our sport, it is great for our team, it puts a lot of focus on our sponsors and on … the drivers,” said Sadler. “Nationwide really hit a home run, in my opinion, with this Dash 4 Cash (program).”
In addition to the winner of the $100,000 between Sadler, Vickers, Dillon, and Larson the next three top finishing Nationwide Series regulars will qualify for New Hampshire's Dash 4 Cash event.
The same procedure will be in place at New Hampshire to qualify for the third event at Chicagoland Speedway on July 21st and then Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27th which will be the final Dash 4 Cash race. If the same driver has won the Dash 4 Cash in the first three races and then also wins it at Indianapolis then that driver will earn an additional $600,000 to bring their total to an even $1 million.
The Nationwide Series will have two practices on Thursday at Daytona International Speedway in preparation for the Subway Firecracker 250. Qualifying will take place at 2 p.m. ET on Friday with the race at 7 p.m. ET Friday night on ESPN.Tags: Austin Dillon, Brian Vickers, Chicagoland Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Elliott Sadler, indianapolis motor speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Kyle Larson, Motorsports, NASCAR, Nationwide Series, New Hampshire Motor Speedway
