Wally Brown is on top of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20 team's pit box serving as crew chief for Matt Kenseth this weekend at Darlington Raceway. Regular crew chief Jason Ratcliff is serving a one race suspension due to the penalty from NASCAR due to the illegal engine the No. 20 team used at Kansas Speedway.
The suspension was reduced on Wednesday from six to just the one race by the appeals board.
Brown has Sprint Cup Series experience as a crew chief. He served in the role for Carl Edwards in 2005 at Roush Fenway Racing.Tags: Darlington Raceway, Jason Ratcliff, Joe Gibbs Racing, matt kenseth, Motorsports, NASCAR, Sprint Cup Series, Wally Brown
