Just 24 hours before the fights start, the Octagon’s warriors stepped up to the scale to face their first test: making weight. The main card for this fight is one of the best in recent history. Especially because the event is on free TV, having a former lightweight champion, two winners of The Ultimate Fighter, and two former UFC title challengers, is not something to scoff at. The talent on this card is incredible. Aside from the talent stacked card, nearly every fight on the main card has a hometown fighter. Khabilov, Sanchez, Dodson, and Hallman all fight out of Greg Jackson's gym in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The fighters are dominant, the crowd is hungry for action and the main card is pay per view worthy. From top to bottom UFC Fight Night 43 is, on paper, one of the best free UFC events the promotion has ever put on.
Headlined by the former champion, Benson Henderson, taking on undefeated prospect, Rustam Khabilov, there are sure to be fireworks in the main event with potential title contention on the line for the winner. Ross Pearson and Diego Sanchez are both fight of the night worthy practitioners and John Dodson and John Moraga both have the power to knock the other out in an instant.
