The University of Michigan Wolverines men's basketball team will continue Big Ten play against the Purdue Boilermakers on Thursday at 9:00 pm in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines are coming off a win against no. 3 Michigan State, which helped them keep a perfect conference record for the season so far. The streak marks the first time U of M has started conference play with seven straight wins since 1976-77.
Even with key player Mitch McGary still out due to injury, Michigan is the only team in the Big Ten that has kept a perfect conference record so far this season. Players like Trey Burke, Jordan Morgan, Glenn Robinson, Oscar Robertson, and sophomore Nik Stauskas are keeping the team going strong. Stauskas was recently named Big Ten Player of the Week for the second straight week, and Robertson was named National Player of the Week.
Purdue is currently holding a 3-4 record within the Big Ten as they head to Ann Arbor for Thursday's game. The last time the two teams played against each other was in March of last year, where Michigan was the victor by five points in an 80-75 win.
