The Michigan State baseball team will be in South Bend, Indiana this afternoon to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The 22-11 Spartans are ready to finally play since the last five games have been canceled due to inclement weather. They are looking to take a win from Notre Dame, who just fell to Toledo yesterday, 15-3. This will be the only time this year these two teams meet.

"We're trying to get back into a rhythm, feeling comfortable and feeling good about the game," Spartan coach Jake Boss said. "When you haven't played, we get out of that rhythm we were in for a while. We try to stay active and do what we can out here during practice."

Junior right-hander David Garner will start on the mound for the Spartans today. Garner currently has a 4-2 record and is posting a 3.55 ERA. In his last outing, Garner went seven innings and allowed three runs on eight hits against Indiana, taking a no decision.

Notre Dame’s starting pitcher is Zak Kutsulis. He is posting a 0-1 record with a 1.66 ERA.

The game will take place today at 5:35 pm Eastern Time. It will be available through live streaming through the Notre Dame Athletics site.
