There have been tons of rumors and speculation on what many NBA players plan to do during the NBA Free Agency period. Top tier players such as Carmelo Anthony, Paul Pierce, Pau Gasol, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are all out there for the taking. These players are game changers and can most definitely make any team that is boarder line make the next step to possibly an NBA Championship. The possibilities are endless for where these players may end up when the free agency period is over and done with.
Anthony has a host of teams clamoring for his services including the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers. Reports are saying that Anthony is giving serious consideration to the Lakers offer to him, but the Knicks are confindent that they will be able to re-sign Anthony to a max contract, with them viewing the Chicago Bulls as their only legitimate threat to sign the all-star. Anthony has the opportunity to play alongside future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant and Lakers first round pick Julius Randle. It has also been reported that Gasol would quickly re-sign with the Lakers if they are able to bring Anthony and/or James to the team. Anthony also has the opportunity to play with the returning Derrick Rose and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah. That three man group would have many fans in the Chicago salivating over what that Bulls team could bring to the table, with possibly multiple championships in the future. The Knicks can simply offer Anthony the most money out of any team.
The "Big Three," in Miami have all opted-out leaving doubt to what they will do next. Latest reports have Bosh strongly considering the Rockets as a possible destination but it is all dependent upon what James will do. If James re-signs with the Heat, Bosh will come back to continue what they started. If James signs elsewhere, Bosh will pack his bags and head off to somewhere else. Wade has continued to remain mum on the whole situation, with him and Bosh saying that they do not know what James will do. Wade more then likely will remain with the Heat until his career is over. Lastly, James has been extremely quiet on what his intentions are. The latest reports are that James is considering coming back to Cleveland for another run, this time with better part around him. Kyrie Irving, and Andrew Wiggins are extremely more talented then any group of players James had when he was with the Cavaliers in his first run. There are also reports that James feels as though the Heat are the best option for him to continue to win titles.
So many possibilities with time winding down. The NBA may look completely different in the coming weeks and teams could jump up into title contention with just one signing. It must be nice to have all of these teams wanting your services so badly. This will only get more interesting going forward.
