This has been the most unknown free agency period in recent memory. No one seems to really know what most of the top free agents in the NBA are doing. One that seems to be the ultimate wild card is Chris Bosh. Bosh, like Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, decided to opt-out of his contract with the Miami Heat and see what free agency holds. Many have different views on what Bosh wants and/or what he will do. Ultimately, it is Bosh who knows what he wants and will do what is best for him.
Some reports have stated that Bosh prefers a max contract over taking a pay cut for the Heat. However, new reports have stated that Bosh will come back to the Heat, only if James decides to re-sign with the team. Bosh is a key asset to any franchise with his ability to shoot from the perimeter and to make the three pointer. He may not be a franchise player that can single handedly take a team to an NBA Championship by himself, but with the right pieces around him, a team can instantly become a title contender.
For instance, the Houston Rockets. If they were to sign Bosh, they would be a legit threat to win the Western Conference, as well as the NBA Title. Putting him around players like James Harden, Dwight Howard and company, that team would surely cause some damage. Bosh is a wanted man by many teams and he cannot be underestimated with what he can truly contribute on a nightly basis for any team.
Bosh was a key piece to what the Heat was able to accomplish with Wade and James. He might be the most important piece to the Heat chances of contending next season. He might very well be the most important free agent on the market as well.
