The Red Devils boss David Moyes stated that signing a new midefielder is his main priority in this summers transfer window, although the La Liga champions vice president Josep Bartomeu has been quoted saying:
Barcelona can assure you we will not entertain any offers for Cesc. It is totally ruled out, he's not for sale.
Having failed with a bid believed to be around $38 million (£25m) last week, Manchester United have returned with an improved offer in a bid to try and get David Moyes his first big name signing since joining the club on July 1st.
United's chief executive Ed Woodward left the club's pre-season tour earlier than anticipated due to urgent transfer business that had to be dealt with. This business was believed to be the transfer saga regarding Chelsea and Wayne Rooney, and United's business regarding Cesc Fabregas.
He is a great player, very skillful, knows how to win things and you always want those type of players in your team.
Of course, he's a great player.
Manchester United manager David Moyes was also questioned after the teams match in Australia on possible new signings heading into Old Trafford this summer, but insisted there was no new developments that had happened over the past 24 hours.
