Los Angeles Lakers superstar, Kobe Bryant suffered an Achilles injury late last season and hasn't returned to action since. While the five-time champion is progressing well in his rehabilitation, the franchise doesn't anticipate on Bryant to play in any of the preseason games.
Though Kobe may not be ready in time for the preseason, Lakers spokesman, John Black reported that the Black Mamba should be back soon enough:
"He's progressing well and has met all the targets and milestones of his rehab, and we expect him to make a full recovery."
However, no one know's Kobe's exact timetable on his return, and while he will likely miss the team's entire eight-game preseason schedule, the 35-year-old will attempt to return on the season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers on October 29.
Kobe has been making recent progress in his rehab by running on an anti-gravity treadmill in late August.
Although Kobe Bryant may not return during the preseason, the 15-time all star should make his come back early in the regular season where we hope to see the future Hall of Famer return to his old self.
