Los Angeles Kings 2014 NHL Draftee’s

The 2014 NHL Draft took take place at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on June 27 and 28. The Kigns were supposed to have nine picks, but with a last minute trade, they had 10. Here are your 2014 Kings Draftee’s.

6 / 157: Jake Marchment (C), OHL-Belleville
6 / 180: Matthew Mistele (LW), OHL-Plymouth
7 / 209: Spencer Watson (RW), OHL-Kingston
7 / 201: Jacob Middleton (D), OHL-Ottawa

*The Los Angeles Kings traded center Linden Vey to the Vancouver Canucks for the 50th overall pick in the NHL Draft and selected OHL-Kingston defenseman Roland McKeown.

With vey traded, According to CapGeek.com the Kings will have roughly 4.5 million to 5.7 million dollars to allocate to a combination of restricted free agents Dwight King and Brayden McNabb, and unrestricted free agents Willie Mitchell, Colin Fraser and Jeff Schultz.

Kings received the Carolina Hurricanes sixth round pick as the result of the trade that sent Kevin Westgarth to the them in exchange for Anthony Stewart.

They also received New York’s seventh round pick as the result of the trade that sent Daniel Carcillo to the Rangers early this year.
