The Los Angeles Kings became the 2014 Stanley Cup Champions on home ice on Friday, June 13 with a 3-2 double overtime victory over the New York Rangers. It was a long journey this postseason for the Kings, and it will be a nice long summer of joy.
In the postseason the Kings did not had home ice advantage in all three rounds. All three rounds reached to a Game 7. Round one was against the San Jose Sharks, Round 2 the Anaheim Ducks, and the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks. But, in the Stanley Cup Final, the Kings had home ice advantage against the New York Rangers.
There was a total of 12 home games played in the postseason. This year instead of the basic rally towel, the towel was in the form of a jersey and, each games towel was unique in the sense that it had a particular player’s number on it.
