Jon Rosen of reports that Los Angeles Kings Alec Martinez has suffered a hyperextended elbow.

It occurred in a collision with Andrew Cogliano of the Anaheim Ducks and Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick in the third period of Saturday’s Stadium Series game where the Kings fell 3-0.

Rosen reports that Martinez underwent an MRI, which showed no tear and he is not on the trip with the team.

Expect Matt Greene to return in Martinez’s place. Greene last played on January 13 where it was reported that he suffered a concussion.

The Kings take on the San Jose Sharks 7:30 p.m. on Monday at SAP Center.
