Los Angeles Kings Defenseman Matt Green Being Evaluated for a Concussion

During Monday’s game of the Los Angeles Kings vs the Vancouver Canucks five major fights were recorded as penalties and one of them may have caused defenseman Matt Greene a concussion.

LA Kings 101 reported that Greene did not return after he went to the lock room to serve his 10-minute penalty, at 8:28 in the second period. Greene’s fight was with Canucks Kevin Bieksa.

Now numerous news organizations have revealed that the 6’-3” 232-pounder was being evaluated for a concussion he suffered during the fight.

It was Greene’s first game since January 2nd.

In 25 games this season Greene has five points (2G-3A) and a plus-7 rating.
