The Los Angeles Kings held practice on January 11 at 10:00 am at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

Here were today’s line rushes:

King – Kopitar – Carter
Brown – Stoll – Williams
Frattin – Richards – Toffoli
Clifford – Fraser – Lewis
Pearson – Fraser – Nolan

Muzzin – Doughty
Mitchell – Voynov
Regehr – Martinez

Jonathan Quick left the ice first and Ben Scrivens, Matt Greene, Jordan Nolan and Tanner Pearson stayed on for extra work.

Pearson didn’t stay on too long with Greene, Nolan and Scrivens. And without a doubt Greene was cracking jokes and making their extra time on the ice more eventful.

Coach Darryl Sutter indicated to the media that he may dress an extra player in the warm-ups to see the Detroit Red Wings lineup first and make changes if needed to the Kings lineup (maybe Pearson).

After practice Drew Doughty and Slava Voynov were hanging out together and you could see the friendship between the two, as they stopped to chat and sign autographs for Jr. LA Kings.

Jon Rosen of asked Doughty about today on being paired with Slava Voynov on the power play, “Me and Slava are really good together, I think, on power play. We bring that one timer threat. I think the power play’s been pretty good when we’ve been on the ice, to be honest. Maybe last game I gave him a few bad passes that we didn’t connect for a one-timer, but besides that, I think we’ve been pretty good together. We haven’t been scoring, but we’ve been creating up top. We’ve been getting our shots through. I like what we have together. We’re close off the ice, and we want to be good together on the ice in those opportunities, so I think that’s what makes us pretty good at it.”

The Kings take on the Red Wings 7:30 p.m. at STAPLES Center.
