2014 Winter Olympics US Men’s Hockey Team Announced, Los Angeles Kings Dustin Brown and Jonathan Quick

After the Winter Class on January 1, USA Hockey announced its roster for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. From your Los Angeles Kings Dustin Brown and Jonathan Quick are included amongst the 25 players.


Forwards (14): David Backes, Dustin Brown, Ryan Callahan, Patrick Kane, Ryan Kesler, Phil Kessel, T.J. Oshie, Max Pacioretty, Zach Parise, Joe Pavelski, Paul Stastny, Derek Stepan, James van Riemsdyk, Blake Wheeler

Defensemen (8): John Carlson, Justin Faulk, Cam Fowler, Paul Martin, Ryan McDonagh, Brooks Orpik, Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan Suter

Goalies (3): Jimmy Howard, Ryan Miller, Jonathan Quick

General Manager: David Poile.

Coach: Dan Bylsma (Pittsburgh Penguins coach and former King)

Brown and Quick participated in the 2012 U.S. Mens National Team who won the silver medal.

Kings General Manager Dean Lombardi is also a part of the U.S. Men’s National Team Advisory Group( a leadership team).

The U.S. plays its first game on Thursday February 13 versus Slovakia. The gold medal game is scheduled for Sunday, February 23.

Anze Kopitar is already locked to play for Slovenia. Drew Doughty is locked for Team Canada and Jeff Carter and Mike Richards are strong candidates. Slava Voynov will most likely earn a spot to represent Russia.
