Los Angeles Kings left wing, Kyle Clifford has been fined $2,756.41, for kneeing Edmonton Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on Sunday, October 27 during the game at STAPLES Center, the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety announced Monday.
The fine is the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The incident occurred at 7:41 in the first period where no penalty was called and Nugent-Hopkins was helped off the ice and briefly left the game after the incident.
The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
