Marc-André Cliche was claimed off waivers by the Colorado Avalanche, while Brandon Kozun and Andrew Campbell cleared waivers and were loaned to the Manchester Monarchs, as reported by Jon Rosen of lakingsinsider.com.
This leaves the Monarchs in search of a new team captain since Cliché was the team’s captain for the past three years. He played for the Los Angeles Kings once when he first joined the organization 2009-10 season.
Kozun, averaged 50 points a season in his three years with the Monarchs, he was developing during the rookie games and training camps as a possible prospect during his earlier time with the Kings.
Campbell, was the alternate captain during the Monarchs last season. In over five years he has 345 games of AHL experience and a plus-41 rating in over three years.
