The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second consecutive game and first of their three game series against the Miami Marlins beating them by a score of 5-2.
Clayton Kershaw earned his 10th victory of the season pitching 6 1/3 innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters.
The Dodgers offense came mainly from the bats of Matt Kemp and Hanley Ramirez. Kemp hit an RBI double in the sixth inning scoring Shane Victorino and Ramirez then singled in Kemp. In the seventh inning Ramirez recorded another RBI when he hit an infield single scoring A.J. Ellis.
The victory, combined with a San Francisco Giants loss gives the two teams identical records meaning we have a tie for the NL West lead.
The Dodgers will send out Joe Blanton on Saturday to make his second start for the Dodgers where he will take on Ricky Nolasco.
