Forbes' Magazine has released its annual list of most valuable sports franchises and the Indianapolis Colts come in at number 20 with an estimated value of $1.154 billion. The Colts are one of 12 NFL franchises included in the world's top 20 most valued franchises.

European soccer giant Real Madrid comes in at number one with an estimated net worth of $3.3 billion, surpassing long-time chart-topper, Manchester United. Of NFL teams, the Dallas Cowboys unsurprisingly are the most valuable, worth and estimated $2.1 billion.

That the Colts are that high up the list is a testament to the NFL's marketing power as well as owner Jim Irsay's acumen. Of the teams on the list, only Green Bay is a smaller market franchise.

No word as to whether or not Irsay will celebrate by lowering ticket, parking or concession prices at Lucas Oil Stadium this season.
