The Green Bay Packers open training camp this year with some concerns to key players from last years team. Missing from practice was Jermichael Finely and his wife stated that Jermichael was out with a mild concussion. Courtney Finely continued on Twitter reporting that Jermichael received the mild concussion during practice. This story was supported by Green Bay Packer head coach Mike McCarthy when he stated that Jermichael would be absent from practice the next few days with a mild concussion.

In other early training camp news was that Charles Woodson is working out in the safety position along with spending time at cornerback. The Green Bay Packers also announce the release of Charlie Peprah after he did not pass his physical on Wednesday. The defensive unit did not have inside linebacker Desmond Bishop completing drills because he had suffered a strained calf while working out before reporting to camp.

On the offensive side of the ball, John Kuhn was not able to begin practice because he was still not recovered completely from the knee injury suffered in the playoff game against the New York Giants last year. The Green Bay Packers will continue to practice with those who are healthy and work on the weaknesses that arose late last season.
