The Golden State Warriors have traded swingman Dorell Wright to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for a player the 76ers have rights to who is playing overseas. It is reported that the player is likely Edin Bavcic. Wright averaged 10.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game last season, but saw his playing time and shooting percentages drop from the previous season.
With the Warriors drafting Harrison Barnes with their first pick in this year's NBA Draft, Wright became more expendable. This trade will allow Barnes more playing time and free up some cap space that the Warriors will need to resign players down the road.
