Two of the 10 greatest teams in NHL history belong to the Detroit Red Wings.

The Red Wings’ 1997-98 Stanley Cup champions were named the sixth-best team in NHL history in voting among fans that was conducted by NHL.com.

The NHL is releasing results of the voting during the Stanley Cup Finals. The 2001-02 Red Wings were previously announced as the 10th-greatest team ever.

The ’97-98 Red Wings remain the last team to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, although the Pittsburgh Penguins are trying to change that this year as they face the Nashville Predators in the Finals.
