Red Wings Update: The Wings bounced back from a rough showing in San Jose with a 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings last night. It was an emotional night for Tomas Tatar, as he recently lost his father. Tatar scored a goal and an assist in the win while Jimmy Howard stopped 44 of 45 shots. Howard will get the night off, as Petr Mrazek will start in net. Daniel Alfredsson (back spasms), Pavel Datsyuk (lower body), Darren Hem (groin), Johan Franzen (concussion), Jonathan Ericsson (ribs), and Stephen Weiss (sports hernia) all remain out.

Ducks Update: The Ducks defeated the Coyotes 5-3 last night on the road. Rookie Hampus Lindholm scored twice in the win. They have also been tough on home ice in addition to leading the NHL in points. Sheldon Souray (wrist), Bryan Allen (lower body) and Luca Sbisa (wrist) will not play tonight. In addition, team captain and leading scorer Ryan Getzlaf is listed as questionable after injuring his foot in last night's game. John Gibson was recalled from their AHL affiliate and will make his NHL debut in net tonight.

Players to Watch

Red Wings:

Tomas Tatar: The Slovakian Olympian has scored in three straight games.

Riley Sheahan: Scored his first career NHL goal last night.

Luke Glendening: Bet you didn't know that he has a two game point streak.

Henrik Zetterberg: 37 points in 35 games in his career against the Ducks.

Ducks:

Hampus Lindholm: Defenseman scored his first career goals last night and is making a case for Calder Trophy.

Corey Perry: Always scores against the Wings. Also leads the Ducks in goals with 25.

John Gibson: Backstopped Team USA to a gold medal at the 2013 World Juniors.

Prediction: Without Duck-killer Datsyuk in the lineup, don't expect the Wings to win one at the Pond, unless Mrazek is able to steal the game.

Make It: Ducks 3, Red Wings 1
