Red Wings Update: The losing continues for the Detroit Red Wings after a 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night. Niklas Kronwall scored the only goal. Justin Abdelkader (concussion) joins a long injured list that already includes Darren Helm (shoulder), Danny DeKeyser (shoulder), Henrik Zetterberg (back), Stephen Weiss (groin), and Jimmy Howard (knee). Tomas Jurco was recalled from Grand Rapids and will make his NHL debut tonight.

Lightning Update: The Lightning are coming off of a 3-0 shutout loss to the New Jersey Devils last night. Much like the Wings, the Lightning are without a lot of players, including Steven Stamkos (leg), Tom Pyatt (collar bone), Ryan Malone (ankle), Mattias Ohlund (knee), Victor Hedman (lower body), Keith Aulie (hand), and Richard Panik (suspended).

Players to Watch:

Martin St. Louis: Picking up a lot of the scoring slack with Stamkos out.

Ben Bishop: Don't be surprised if he ends up getting the call to play for Team USA at the Olympics.

Valtteri Filppula: He's back in Detroit. Please show respect to him, fans.

Red Wings:

Tomas Jurco: Making his NHL debut today. Played against several current Lightning players in Calder Cup Finals.

Petr Mrazek: Also faced a lot of the same players in Calder Cup Finals.

Daniel Alfredsson: Alfie needs one assist to reach 700 for his career.

Prediction: Long story short, until the Wings start winning games, a win will not be predicted.

Make It: Lightning 3, Red Wings 1.
