Through four weeks of the season, it's clear these pooches seems to have a knack for picking Detroit Lions' games. The dogs have been completely accurate when it comes to the Lions, and pretty spotless everywhere else, as well. Though Izzy had a rough week (5-9), Cooper maintained his lead in the standings by tying his master (8-6) with another strong week of picking.
This week, unlike the contest against Washington, the dogs are split on Detroit ending the streak, and spilt on the Broncos remaining flawless. There's some division, which means the chance for an early season run exists for someone.
New Orleans at Chicago. The Bears sustained a tough loss in Detroit last weekend, but the dogs think they rebound with a solid performance at home against the Saints. Chicago's defense was exposed without Henry Melton, though, and the Saints continue the trend the Lions started. C: Chicago, I: Chicago, M: New Orleans
New England at Cincinnati. Izzy picks Bill Belichick to keep the magic rolling early in the season, while Cooper takes the Bengals to bounce back. Last week, the Patriots showed their toughness on the road, and they do so again. C: Cincinnati, I: New England, M: New England
Detroit at Green Bay. Time for the Lions again. Izzy, who's been a notorious Packer backer, stays that way, picking the streak to continue. Cooper thinks it's time for the Lambeau futility to end. He doesn't know how many supernatural things have gone wrong there. The Lions lose again. C: Detroit, I: Green Bay, M: Green Bay
Kansas City at Tennessee. A magical start for Kansas City, and Izzy thinks it continues on the road against the Titans. Cooper thinks the Titans score a win. Kansas City wins again, though, staying unbeaten. C: Tennessee, I: Kansas City, M: Kansas City
Seattle at Indianapolis. Seattle won late on the road last week, and they play another doozy this weekend. Both dogs think they survive and win again. Not this time, though. C: Seattle, I: Seattle, M: Indianapolis
Jacksonville at St. Louis. Jacksonville could go winless this season, but that doesn't stop Izzy from picking them against St. Louis on the road. Cooper sticks with the safe pick, and it's the right one. The Rams win big. C: St. Louis, I: Jacksonville, M: St. Louis
Baltimore at Miami. The dogs think that Miami's momentum has slowed in the wake of their loss to the Saints last week, picking Baltimore to win. Miami is changed, though, and beats the reeling Super Bowl champions at home. C: Baltimore, I: Baltimore, M: Miami
Philadelphia at New York Giants. Speaking of teams reeling, there's the New York Giants, who are winless. Both dogs say that the Eagles continue that streak, but quietly, they've been just as bad lately. Tough game to pick, but home field gets the Giants over the hump. C: Philadelphia, I: Philadelphia, M: New York Giants
Carolina at Arizona. Carolina goes on the road to Arizona, where it's tough to win. The dogs think the Panthers find that out. They do, as they wilt in the desert. C: Arizona, I: Arizona, M: Arizona
Denver at Dallas. Through four weeks, Denver has looked as close to perfect as a football team can. Izzy thinks that ends in Dallas, picking the Cowboys to win. Cooper picks Denver to keep the momentum going, and he's right. Denver wins. C: Denver, I: Dallas, M: Denver
Houston at San Francisco. After Houston lost in heartbreaking fashion, they must go on the road to the west cost. Izzy thinks they rebound, where Cooper thinks the 49ers grab another big win. At home, it's hard to pick against them, especially after Houston lost a heartbreaker at home. C: San Francisco, I: Houston, M: San Francisco
San Diego at Oakland. After beating Dallas, San Diego makes the cross-state trip to take on the Raiders. Izzy thinks Phillip Rivers keeps the momentum alive, while Cooper takes Oakland to win. San Diego's better, though. C: Oakland, I: San Diego, M: San Diego
New York Jets at Atlanta (Monday night). An ugly Monday game as far as records go, with the Jets going to take on the 1-3 Falcons. Izzy takes the Jets on the road, while Cooper takes Atlanta. There's no way the Jets win this one. C: Atlanta, I: New York Jets, M: Atlanta
