It looks like the Broncos will be without their longest-tenured offensive lineman for the third straight game this Sunday versus the Browns.
Kuper, who has been sidelined for the past two games with what coach John Fox calls "scar tissue" issue in his surgically-repaired ankle, missed Friday's practice, while also missing Wednesday and Thursday's workouts. Kuper is doubtful for Sunday's game. Kuper's value is best demonstrated by the statistic that of the 21 sacks the Broncos offensive line has allowed, 19 of them have been in the nine games that Kuper missed. In Kuper's five starts, the Broncos have allowed only two sacks. John Fox stated that Kuper is doubtful for this week's game due to persistent ankle problems and a migraine issue.
The Broncos are currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC Conference and control their own destiny as far as clinching a first round bye is concerned. The Broncos' two remaining regular season games are against the Cleveland Browns (5-9) and the Kansas City Chiefs (2-12). The Broncos are currently on a nine-game winning streak.
