The Dallas Mavericks waived Chris Douglas-Roberts and Melvin Ely over the weekend to trim their roster to 16 players, and they have until the 4:00 PM NBA deadline this afternoon to trim the roster to the 15 players that are required for the start of the season.
According to ESPNDallas.com, the Mavs are shopping guard Dominique Jones, but are not finding any takers. The Mavs are reported to be leaning toward releasing disgruntled guard Delonte West.
The Mavs picked up Eddy Curry off of waivers last week, and his performance of 11 points against the Charlotte Bobcats might be enough to secure him the last roster spot.
Dallas is not at full strength right now, with center Chris Kaman doubtful for Tuesday's season opener with a calf injury. Brandan Wright is also questionable, and Dirk Nowitzki is already out for a few weeks.
