The Dallas Mavericks were in control most of the game and used a 14-0 run to finish off the Charlotte Bobcats 99-82 Friday night. They finish the preseason 4-4.
Now Dallas must focus and get ready for the season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. The Mavs are not fully healthy, to say the least.
Jae Crowder left Friday night's game with an injury. One of the bright spots for Dallas during the preseason, Crowder's status for the opener is uncertain. Same goes for backup center/forward Brandan Wright, who did not play against the Bobcats.
Picked up off waivers by Dallas on Thursday, Eddy Curry started Friday and scored 11 points on 4-8 shooting, but it is uncertain as to whether that will land him a roster spot, even with all the injuries.
Starting center Chris Kaman is doubtful for the opener with a calf injury. Forward Shawn Marion, who stayed at home to rest while the Mavs lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Kansas, led Dallas with a strong game of 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Elton Brand also missed Friday's game to rest.
