The Cleveland Indians failed to cash in on another great pitching performance as the Minnesota Twins beat them 1-0 last night at Progressive Field.
Zach McAllister pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings, striking out eight. Unfortunately, the Indians scratched out only three hits in 10 innings and failed to score.
John Axford (0-3) took the loss, as he gave up a solo homer in the top of the 10th to Twins shortstop Eduardo Escobar.
Cleveland (13-19) will face the Twins again tonight at 7:05 p.m. Eastern. Josh Tomlin will make his first start this year for the Tribe against Samuel Deduno.
