The Cleveland Indians added to their depth by inviting outfielder Jeff Francoeur and right-handed reliever Scott Atchison to spring training, MLB.com reported.

Atchison, 37, pitched in the New York Mets' bullpen last year. He was 3-3 with a 4.37 ERA. Tribe manager Terry Francona used him in the Boston bullpen in 2010-11. Atchison has also pitched for the Giants and Mariners.

Francoeur, 30, struggled in 2013. He hit only .204 and was cut by both the Royals and the Giants. He has an excellent throwing arm, and he drove in more than 100 runs for the Braves in 2006 and 2007.
