The Cleveland Indians dropped another one on Monday night to the Chicago White Sox, losing 4-2 in Cleveland. Jose Lopez hit his first home run in an Indians uniform in a final attempt to rally in the ninth. Josh Tomlin was the losing pitcher for the Indians after giving up 7 hits and 4 runs.
The White Sox attacked in the first inning, going three runs up. Alejandro De Aza hit a home run and A.J. Pierzynski hit another homer allowing Paul Konerko to score as well. The Sox were up 3-0. In the top of the 5th, De Aza scored on a single by Brent Morel. The Tribe found themselves down 4-0. Finally in the bottom of the 6th the Indians managed to get on the board after Shin-Soo Choo crossed the plate on a single from Carlos Santana. The Tribe attempted to rally on the homer from Lopez, but it wasn't enough and the Indians fell to 1-3 on the season.
They will play the White Sox again tonight at 7:05 p.m.
