Conflicting reports are coming in over whether Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops (pictured) is a candidate to lead the Cleveland Browns.

Late last week, NFL Network and ESPN St. Louis were reporting that Stoops, fresh off a Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama, was a top contender for the Browns job.

However, the Plain Dealer reported over the weekend that the Browns will not interview Stoops.

The team has already interviewed New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Arizona defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported that the Browns have also shown interest in Denver offensive coordinator Adam Gase, Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin.

Interestingly enough, Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton will interview on Tuesday for the Minnesota Vikings head coaching job, according to a Tweet from Ben Goessling of ESPN.
