Campbell suffered a concussion two weeks ago in the loss to the Steelers, and after the same fate befell Brandon Weeden against Jacksonville, it seemed like either Alex Tanney or Caleb Hanie would lead the Browns into battle.
However, Campbell practiced Thursday and today, and coach Rob Chudzinski named him the starter.
This announcement would seem to give the Browns a puncher’s chance against the Patriots, but keep in mind that New England is undefeated at Gillette Stadium.
The Browns would need to play the perfect game in order to beat the stacked Patriots, who are rolling toward another deep playoff run.
