Cleveland Browns linebacker Quentin Groves will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, head coach Rob Chudzinski announced today.

Groves, an outside linebacker in his sixth year in the NFL, will have surgery “later this week or next week,” Chudzinski said.

Groves has been dealing with ankle problems since Week 2, a 14-6 loss at Baltimore, according to Pro Football Talk.

Drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Groves also played for the Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals before joining the Browns as a free agent.
