While the Browns coaching staff decided whether to let Brandon Weeden start at quarterback against the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs, the team made a couple of roster moves.
The Browns announced on Tuesday that they had signed wide receiver Brian Tyms from the Miami Dolphins practice squad.
Tyms was not drafted in 2012 out of Florida A&M, but he has been with the Miami practice squad since the beginning of the 2012. Now he has a chance to show what he can do on the Browns’ 53-man roster.
The Browns waived defensive back Julian Posey, who played two games with the Dolphins last year and one with the Browns this year.
Cleveland also said goodbye to wide receiver Tori Gurley, who played three games and made one catch for 15 yards.
