Just prior to the start of Spring Training, the Cincinnati Reds made yet another roster move acquiring relief pitcher Brett Marshall after claiming him off of waivers from the Chicago Cubs.

The 23-year old right-hander from Texas spent last season with the New York Yankees and pitched in just 12 innings allowing six earned runs, including three home runs, while striking out seven batters. The Cubs claimed Marshall off of waivers back in December.

He also spent time in Triple-A Wilkes-Barre and picked up seven wins while being on the losing end of 10. He pitched in just over 138 innings and posted an ERA of 5.12. With the move, the Reds also designated infielder Henry Rodriguez for assignment.

Heading into Spring Training the Reds will have 31 pitcher on their roster.
