Former Washington Nationals manager and current Triple-A Louisville Bats skipper Jim Riggleman seems to be the top candidate for the Cincinnati Reds open manager position.

Riggleman has the most managing experience of any of the candidates that have been talked about thus far. He began with the Padres in 1992. From 1995 to 1999, he held the manager position with the National League Central's Chicago Cubs where he compiled an overall record of 374-419. Hew managed the Seattle Mariners for 90 games in the 2008 season before moving over to the Washington Nationals organization from 2009-2011.

From there, Riggleman spent the past two season with the Cincinnati Reds as the manager of the Louisville Bats. He and Walt Jocketty have worked together in the past. When Jocketty was in St. Louis, Riggleman was minor league field coordinator for the Cardinals. Reports has already confirmed that Riggleman would be interviewed for the position.

While boasting a 662-824 career record, Riggleman has only had one team had one team reach 100 losses (San Diego Padres, 1993). However, only one team had reached the post-season under his watch. It'll be interesting to see how fans react if Riggleman is the guy the Reds hire.
