For the second time if five days, Billy Hamilton stole second base and ended up coming around to score the game-winning run.
In a 3-3 game in the bottom of the tenth inning, Ryan Ludwick led off the inning with a walk and was replaced by Billy Hamilton. After stealing second base, his fourth since being called up, he came around and scored the game-winning run on a Todd Frazier single to left to give the Cincinnati Reds a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Reds starter Mat Latos found himself in a jam early in the first. After a quick out, Latos hit Yasiel Puig and allowed a hit to Adrian Gonzalez. Hanley Ramirez singled home Puig and the Dodgers had a quick 1-0 lead. After issuing a walk, he got a force out and line out to end the first without anymore damage.
The Dodgers got the lead back in the second with a two-run home run by Puig. Latos and Dodgers starter Zack Greinke settled down and didn't allow another run for the rest of their outings.
Going into the bottom half of the seventh inning, the Reds still trailed 3-2. Shin-Soo Choo hit a one-out single and Cesar Izturis, who had three hits on the afternoon, smacked a double down the line that brought Choo home to tie the game.
Cincinnati had a chance to end the game in the ninth but Chris Heisey as stranded on second base.
After Los Angeles was unable to score in the top half of the tenth, Hamilton and Frazier took over in the bottom half of the inning and sent the fans home happy.
