Ryan Ludwick Returns to Reds Lineup; Goes 0-for-3

Before the Cincinnati Reds began their series with the Chicago Cubs, Ryan Ludwick was activated from the 60-day disabled list and Derrick Robinson was optioned to Triple-A Louisville.

He made his return to the Reds lineup Monday night against the Cubs and went 0-for-3 while leaving a runner on base.

In his first at-bat, Ludwick grounded into a double play. He flied out to right in the fifth and grounded out to first in the seventh. 

While rehabbing, he played in 13 games batting .136 (6-for-44) with one home run and four runs batted in. 

Ludwick has been out since Opening Day when he injured his shoulder sliding into third base.
