BREAKING NEWS: According to Carrie Muskat, the Chicago Cubs have sent, former first round draft pick, Brett Jackson to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for minor league RHP Blake Cooper.

Jackson had spent all of 2014 with the Iowa Cubs (AAA) and had struggled mightily, hitting .210 with five home runs in 81 games. Jackson was once one of the organizations top prospects but after a dismal debut in 2012, in which he struck out in 59 of his 120 at bats, Jackson has never been the same. The 26 year old outfielder is set to be arbitration eligible in 2017.
