The NHL season has been put to a two and a half week halt as the 2014 Winter Olympics are upon us. Some players will take this time to enjoy a much needed rest. They will go on vacation, visit family, or just relax their body in hopes of recovering when games resume. While this time is considered a vacation for some, others are looking at it as a mission. A mission to win gold. Several NHL players are headed to Sochi to participate in this year's Olympics, including 10 Chicago Blackhawks

Let's take a quick look at the Blackhawks that are representing their countries at Sochi:

Canada

Duncan Keith, Patrick Sharp, Jonathan Toews

Czech Republic

Michal Rozsival

Slovakia

Michal Handzus, Marian Hossa

Sweden

Niklas Hjalmarsson, Marcus Kruger, Johnny Oduya

United States

Patrick Kane

The men's hockey tournament begins on Wednesday, February 12.

Best of the luck to all the Blackhawks players and hopefully some of them can bring back some hardware around their neck.
