The NHL announced its three stars of the week for last week's games. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Martin St. Louis came in first, while Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick was second. Coming in as the third star of the week is Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford. Crawford posted a 2-0-1 record to go along with a 2.22 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. Crawford helped lead the Blackhawks past the Boston Bruins and the red hot Anaheim Ducks, while falling in overtime to the Colorado Avalanche.
Crawford has shaken of all the rust after coming back from a lower-body injury. His play over the last couple of weeks has been spectacular as he has made an abundance of saves, while keeping his team in the game.
With the Olympic break coming up soon and Crawford not participating, he will have to find a way to keep active so he can come back just as strong. He isn't the most highly talked about goalie, but he does possess the skills to win a game any night. He showed that in last year's Stanley Cup Final and he is starting to show it again.
Congrats Corey on being named the third star of the week.
