The Chicago Blackhawks announced that they have activated forward Bryan Bickell from injured reserve. Bickell hasn't played since November 19 against the Colorado Avalanche where he suffered a lower-body injury. He has five goals and one assist in 22 games this season.

With Bickell being activated, the Blackhawks had to make another move so they reassigned forward Jeremy Morin back to their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. Morin has played in 15 games for the Blackhawks this season recording one goal and four assists.

Although Bickell hasn't stuffed the stat sheet this season, he has been a physical presence for the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks will need him to keep playing that way as they move forward the rest of the season.
